Letter from Recruitment Chair

Dear Potential New Members,

On behalf of the Theta Zeta chapter of Delta Gamma, I am so excited that you have decided to continue your collegiate studies at FGCU. These next few years will be some of the best years of your life where you will have the opportunity to make lifelong friendships, share laughter, and make countless memories.

I joined Delta Gamma in 2023, and I can confidently say that it has benefited me in so many ways. I have made lifelong friendships, and I have amazing roommates who are not only my sisters, but also my best friends. When I was looking to join a sorority, I didn't really know much about them or what I was looking for. All I knew is that I wanted to be a part of a group of women who push me to be the best that I can be. I found that with Delta Gamma. Through Theta Zeta, I have gained confidence in who I am as a woman and a leader. Theta Zeta has given me so many opportunities to learn leadership skills, and has also helped me grow academically since I have joined.

I know the recruitment process can be stressful and you will oftentimes feel anxious and nervous about going through it, but I promise it is all worth it in the end. It is totally normal to feel nervous or excited about the recruitment process, but those few days will be so enjoyable because you go around meeting so many amazing women at FGCU who want to get to know you just as much as you want to get to know them.

The best advice I can give you is to trust the process. Being yourself is the best possible thing you can do. Put a beautiful smile on your face, be the best version of yourself, and you will end up exactly where you are supposed to be. Overall, I wish you all the best of luck during your recruitment process. Enjoy every second of it. I know you will all do amazing and the chapter cannot wait to meet you all!

Best Wishes,

Katelyn Dunsmore
